Divine Meadows, Noida: Where to park the cars?

Despite handing over possession two years back, the builder has failed to provide parking facilities, often leading to disputes among residents.

Divine Meadows, Noida: Where to park the cars?

Residents of Divine Meadows, a residential compound in Sector 108, Noida, are faced with a severe parking problem. The construction of the basement parking is still under way, and residents are forced to park their cars in the compound’s open area, which has no security arrangements.

Despite getting possession in 2014, many residents still don’t have proper parking spaces. The project has 450 flats, of which about 300 flats are already occupied.

Abhimanyu Singh, one of the very few who do have a parking space allotted in the basement, told City Spidey that there were no lights, CCTV cameras or security guards there. “The parking slots are yet to be painted, so it gets even more difficult as there are no definite spots. This has often led to disputes,” he adds.

Surendra Kushwaha, president of the buyers’ association of Divine Meadows, told City Spidey that each resident has paid Rs 3,00,000 for basement parking. The builder has also been charging them a quarterly maintenance fee of Rs 2 per sq ft. And yet, the builder has failed to give them the promised parking lots. “Whenever we try to contact the builder, he refuses to meet us. And the maintenance staff is always ready with its false deadlines,” he adds.

When City Spidey took up the matter with Madan Sinha, the society’s head of maintenance, he said that about 100 parking slots were ready. The rest would also be ready in the next three months, and CCTV cameras would soon be installed.
