New Delhi: Residents of Mayur Vihar Phase 3 will hold a giant rally on Sunday, February 16, under the banner of United forum of Residents from Kondali and Noida for demanding basic amenities in the area.
The residents said that they have been deprived of basic amenities, like better metro connectivity, pure water supply, sewage facilities etc, for long. The forum had earlier written letters to various ministers to consolidate.
Vinod K Nair, convener of forum, said, “We waited for elections to get over. Now we will fight to get a concrete solution to our problems. Change will not come suddenly.”
More than 12 dozen organisations of Mayur Vihar Phase 3, Vasudhara, Khora, Kondli and Noida Sector 2 came together to raise their voices.
“We are facing the problems since the last 10 years. Elected representative of our area support us wholeheartedly. We pay tax. The revenue collection of our area is also high still we live in congested polluted colonies, breathe toxic air because of the Ghazipur landfill sight. There is no metro connectivity and a single government hospital in our area. We want all these facilities,” said Nair.
