New Delhi: In an extraordinary feat which tells a lot about medical advancements, the Safdarjung Hospital has claimed to have completed hundred robotic surgeries. It is a milestone for any government hospital.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was a pioneer in robotic procedure for various health surgeries.
Dr Anoop Kumar, head of the department said, “We are pleased to inform that hundred cases of robotic surgery have been completed in record hundred days. It was a team effort.”
“We would like to thank Dr Balwinder singh and Dr Shaji Thomas for gracing the occasion and giving us blessings. We would like to thank anaesthesia team, gynae department, CTVS department, our OT staff, our urology department for their full cooperation and support,” he added.
This is the record in Asia since the inception of robotics in health procedures.
