New Delhi: Acting upon the complaint of the residents, the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) cleaned the roadside signboards for proper visibility near Amrapali Apartment in Patparganj area of East Delhi. They also pruned the branches of trees which were disrupting the view of the boards.

Now, residents as well as commuters will be able to properly see the signboards. The EDMC had formed a special team to act against the residents' complaint.

Member of standing committee, EDMC, Sandeep Kapoor said, “We are also making efforts to find other such sites where there is same kind of problem. We have also received complaints from other places as well. We will be acting at those places as well.”

A resident of Amrapali Apartment, Rakesh Ahuja said, “We had become used to hidden signboards. But I realised this problem when one of my cousins had to waste two hours searching for my apartment due to non-visibility of the signboards. After that, I lodged a complaint and action was taken by the concerned authority.”
