Ghaziabad: A white coloured Fortuner SUV belonging to popular poet and politician Kumar Vishwas was stolen outside his residence on Friday, police said. The incident happened on Friday night at Kumar's residence in Vasundhara's Sector 3. The stolen car was parked outside the residence.
Police said that Vishwas noticed his car missing from the spot in the morning and his manager approached Indirapuram police station with a formal complaint.
The police have registered an FIR in the case against unknown person after receiving the complaint from Vishwas. The police have booked unnamed accused under Section 379 (punishment for theft) of IPC.
Anshu Jain, Circle Officer, Indirapuram told CitySpidey that the police is furnishing CCTV footage to get clues about the theft. “We are trying to get CCTV footage of the cameras installed in nearby areas. The rest of the probe is underway,” she said.
