Gurugram: The enforcement team of Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) razed an unauthorised building being constructed in the village Fazilpur.

The action came after the building was sealed by the team on Wednesday.

The enforcement team of Zone-4 led by Assistant Engineer Rajiv Yadav reached the site along with the police force to completely demolish the building.

Unauthorised buildings near Badshahpur drain cycle track were being constructed without obtaining approval from the civic body. The building was being built in an area of about 1,000 square yards, which was sealed by the team on Wednesday.

About 100 police personnel were present on the spot to deal with any kind of resistance from the locals.

Similarly, the enforcement team of Zone-2 led by Assistant Engineer Amit Lathwal took action to seal four unauthorised under construction buildings in Patel Nagar.

Apart from this, anti-encroachment drive was also conducted to make the roads and footpaths in Sector-15 part-2 free from any kind of enroachment. A heavy police force was present with the team to deal with any kind of resistances during the operation.

According to the MCG official, it is mandatory to get the building plan approved from the civic body before initiating any kind of construction within the limits of MCG under the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act. 

“Construction without the approval of the building plan will be considered unauthorised and action will be taken to seal and demolish such constructions,” said an official of MCG.
