New Delhi: The Delhi government has identified 17 locals who have a history of travelling to China. These residents were hospitalised after they showed symptoms of coronavirus infection. 

As per state health officials, more than 5,700 such people were approached till February 13 after the Delhi airport authorities informed the Delhi health department. An official of the Delhi health department said that 4,707 passengers were found asymptomatic and advised for home isolation (self-quarantined). Total 17 patients were found symptomatic and isolated at hospitals. 

The official quoting the data collated by the health department said that 817 passengers remained untraced. 

Since January 17, passengers arriving from China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore are being screened for coronavirus infection at 21 identified airports in India including the Delhi airport.
