Gurugram: Chief Minister Khattar inaugurates a diagnostic center for all

Gurugram: As part of the state government’s effort to make healthcare facilities accessible and affordable to all, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, on Saturday, inaugurated a diagnostic center at Sector-39 of Gurugram.

Styled as Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Swarna Jayanti Diagnostic Center, the health facility has been set up by Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) in collaboration with the Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board, IFFCO Tokyo and IIFCL under corporate social responsibility (CSR).

For the next 10 years, the diagnostic center would be managed and operated by HLL Lifecare Limited, a healthcare product manufacturing company, which is a public sector undertaking (PSU).

Built at a cost of Rs 6.2 crore, the diagnostic lab has all types of diagnostic services available for the residents of Gurugram at affordable rates.

Speaking to the media persons at the inauguration, Chief Minister Khattar assured that the public will get a lot of benefit once the lab starts functioning.

He said, "With this center, people living below the poverty line will be given free health facilities while others will avail it at nominal Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) rates as compared to the current market rates."

He called it an important initiative and urged other institutions of the society to come forward to serve the society.

While a chest X-ray costs Rs 250 in other labs, at this center, it will be done for only Rs 60, said an official spokesman.

TMT will be tested for only Rs 489 while other health check-up centers charge Rs 1,500 for it. ECG will be done at Rs 50 while liver function test and Lipid profile will be done at Rs 255 and Rs 200 respectively.
