Residents share concern over illegal occupancies at malls with Noida Authority

Noida: Confederation of NCR Residents Welfare  Association (CONRWA) on Monday wrote to Ritu Maheshwari, chief executive officer of Noida Industrial Development Authority, drawing her attention towards illegal occupancy of open spaces at commercial outlets in the city.

Through the letter, the confederation told the authority that it (the illegal occupancy) poses a treat to common shoppers as they would not be able to run away in case of emergency.

It said that there are many  malls in the city where operators or owners of these malls have put kiosks which is an illegally occupancy of the open space at these malls.

Originally this space was left for shopper's convenience so that they can have ease access of main roads at these malls. But these spaces are being commercially exploited by them (owners) and they have put shoppers's convenience and safety at risk.

PS Jain, President of the confederation said that they have written to the top officer seeking her attention towards this issues of great concern. He said that he had demanded the authority to initiate necessary actions to clear this illegal occupancy, allowing shoppers to have easy access of these malls.
