Gurugram: Sec 57 RWA calls on HSVP for early enhancement recalculation

Gurugram: A delegation of Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector 57, Gurugram, called on Haryana Shehari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) Administrator Jitender Yadav at his office on Tuesday for early implementation of enhancement recalculation.

Earlier, the residents had expressed their resentment over the continuous delay in the recalculation process. They said that despite the deadline of January 31 set by HSVP headquater to complete the process of enhancement recalculation, the department is dragging its feet on the matter.

They said that this undue delay has caused a lot of stress to thousands of families living in the HSVP sectors across the city.

“We are struggling with the officials of the concerned department for recalculation of second enhancement which is imposed on us since last two years,” said Tejinder Sehrawat, State Secretary of All Sectors RWA of Haryana and Vice President of Sector 57 RWA.

According to the residents, the government had announced first enhancement fee of Rs 6,717 per square yard and second enhancement fee was Rs 6,784 per square yard. After the recalculation it was later reduced to Rs 6,164 per square yard and Rs 1,143 per square yard. This recalculation has not been implemented yet.

“After following up the matter over six months and the zonal committee headed by the administrator of HSVP has approved and signed the draft of enhancement recalculation. We hope that now other process would be done without any further delay,” Sehrawat said.

The meeting was also attended by the officials of HSVP and several other RWAs from sectors 27, 51, 52, 56 and 43. Sanjeev Lamba, RWA president of Sector 43 said, “We have met the HSVP administrator and urged him to initiate the enhancement recalculation process in our sector and rectify the enhancement fee imposed on the plot owners.”

Notably, enhancement fee is mandated by the court order to pay compensation to farmer or the land owner for the land acquisition, when the land owner is not satisfied with the price of land offered by the state government. Around Rs 550 crore of enhancement fee are due with HSVP allottees.

The fee is borne by the plot owner and paid to the government. In the initial scheme, plot owners would bear the enhancement fee for land meant for public projects such as schools, roads, parks, sewers in the area.
