Unrest at Panchsheel Greens over alleged labourers' attempt to break into flat

Greater Noida: Alleged forceful attempt of entry into a flat by labourers has caused panic among not only the flat members but also the other residents living at Panchsheel Greens society in Greater Noida West. Further, the residents took the matter with management which turned into a heated argument.

Praveen Pandey, who live in flat number 2304 in newly constructed Tower F-3 of Panchsheel Greens said, “On Tuesday morning, I was working on my laptop inside my flat. Someone pushed the main door of my flat from outside. It was pushed with such a force that the lock got broken.”

He continued, “I was inside my flat and got shocked why someone is pushing my door this way. Later, when the door opened, there were three persons outside. They were labourers working at an under construction tower of the society. They could have knocked door, but no, they pushed it hard as if they wanted to enter into flat forcefully.”

Following which, the flat owner along with some other residents approached the management's head. Prakash Jha, maintenance head, however, told the residents that labourers pushed the door by mistake, thinking the flat was not handed over. Residents demanded a written apology from Jha for incident. He tried to convince flat owner and and residents saying the incident happened by mistake. However, he did not agree to tender apology.

Annoyed with the reluctance of Jha, resident called the police. Jha, however, submitted a letter to Bishrakh police and apologised.

“At 9.30 am, three boys (labourers) carrying aluminum (for construction purpose) were going to under construction Tower F-2. Lift of Tower -2 was not operational and hence they were carrying it via Tower F-3 and by mistake they reached at flat number 2304. They had no idea whether the flat is handed over or not. Such mistake will not be repeated in future,” the letter read.

Himalya Vansal, another resident of the society told that Tower F-3 has been completed and possession process has begun, whereas, Tower F-2 is still under construction. “Tower F-2, which is under construction, is yet to be facilitated with lifts, hence labourers generally carry construction material through Tower F-3, putting their lives at risk,” Vansal said.
