EDMC carries out cleanliness drive on Mahashivratri

New Delhi: On the occasion of Mahashivratri, a special cleanliness drive was carried out by East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC). The corporation along with RWA decorated three temples situated on the 8km stretch from Krishna Nagar main market to Laal quarter market. 

Sandeep Kapoor, member standing committee Shahdara, said, “Roads were cleaned early in the morning. Rangoli was drawan outside all the major temples. Though it is a regular practice of EDMC, but this time we paid more attention as it was a festival.” 

RWA also actively participated in the cleanliness drive. VS Bohra, member of Bhagidari, said, “We could see clean roads in the entire area. Not only the temples but streets were also cleaned. We could hardly see garbage on roads.”
