Spidey impact: Police patrol, barricade at school near liquor shops

New Delhi: Three days ago, CitySpidey team had pointed out the existence of liquor shops near a school in Mayur Vihar phase 3. Now, the police took steps to ward off any untoward incident in the area.

CitySpidey had raised the issue through a report titled "Liquor shops found violating norms near School in Mayur Vihar phase three" published on February 19.

Following the report, the police have undertaken to patrol and barricading the school.

Here, we are referring to the prestigious Ryan International School located near a Mayur Vihar bus stop. Juxtaposing the school is a commercial hub that includes liquor shops. Not to take any chance in the wake of these shops, parents prefer to personally drop children to the school.

During school hours, goons can be seen loitering in the area. The RWA of the area complained about the matter to the police and demanded appropriate action.

Thereafter, the police came into action by initiating patrolling in the area and installing barricades on the road near the school. The police also ensure easy movement of parents during school hours.

Convener of United Forum of Mayur Vihar phase 3, Khoda and Vasundhara, Vinod K Nair thanked the CitySpidey team for promptly responding to their problem.
