RESIDENT SPEAK: Regular water leakages become nuisance at DDA flats

Dwarka: Water leakage from ferrule of main pipeline has become common at DDA flats in Sector 16B, Dwarka. There are total 1,736 flats and out of which only 800 are occupied.

The pipes from ferrule to house connection have been in bad condition because of rust at most of the vacant flats. 
As per law, residents are responsible for take care of pipes from ferrule to house connection. But, the owners of vacant flats have totally ignored it. 

The leakages can be seen both in the morning and evening during the water supply timings.

I personally requested the Chief Minister and MLA to replace pipe from ferrule to house connection so that water leakage can be stopped. 

The MLA said that he will send team for penalise defaulters but it was not materialised.

We requested the MLA and DJB to make a scheme to change all pipes in order to stop wasting water. A heavy water leakage is going on daily.
