Gurugram: AGM of RWA held in Sec 23A; many issues discussed

Gurugram: The annual general meeting of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector 23A was held on Sunday at the neighbourhood park in the sector.

Malkhan Singh Yadav, President; Bhawani Shankar Tripathi, General Secretary; Rajendra Singh, Vice President; Colonel Ved Prakash, Ran Singh Chauhan Joint Secretary; Ashwini Sharma Mayaram, Ashok Mattoo and among others were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, a summary of annual accounts of the association, expenditure on maintenance of parks was presented. In addition, a number of modification and development works was proposed to be undertaken.

The residents and RWA officials discussed several key issues related to the development of the sector. Among them all, the closure of gates at the East Jon approach road was prominently raised during the meeting. The residents complained that the closure of two gates at the approach road caused a lot of inconvenience to them.

“There is a lot of traffic on the main road and hence it becomes difficult to cross the road especially for the senior citizens and children. We would take up the closure of gates issue with the DCP police and other concerned department,” said Malkhan Singh Yadav, President of the RWA.

The residents also pointed out deplorable state of sector internal roads, inadequate water supply, broken footpath, misuse of vacant plot which has become garbage dump and cleaning of drains and sewer during the meeting.

“All the suggestions and complaints by the residents at the AGM were noted by the RWA and each of them will be taken up with the concerned authority to resolve them at the earliest,” Yadav said.
