Delhi: Section 144 of CrPc, which prohibits assembly of four or more people, has been imposed in the Khajuri Khas and Bhajanpura areas of the National Capital for one month in wake of violence that broke out in parts of Northeast Delhi on Monday.
The security personnel have also been deployed in the area where violence and arson were reported on Monday in clashes that took place between pro and anti CAA groups.
The police also conducted flag march in several areas of the region.
Curfew could be imposed anytime if the situation deteriorates.
Seven people, including a Delhi Police head constable, were killed in Monday's violence, while more than 100 have been injured.
The Delhi government had ordered all government and private schools in Northeast Delhi to remain closed on Tuesday. All the internal and external exams were also cancelled.
