New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Wednesday organised a mega blood donation camp for officials of paramilitary forces like Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Border Security Force (BSF).

The officials from CISF, ITBP and BSF participated in the blood donation camp wholeheartedly. A total of 2,000 units of blood were collected at the blood donation camp which started sharp at 7.45 am in morning. 

Doctors, para medical staff and senior officers of paramilitary forces participated and donated blood.

On the occasion, Director General of CISF Rajesh Ranjan said, “Everyone should donate blood once in every three months. It can boost our immunity as well. We are lagging behind in volunteer blood donation which can increase by organising such volunteer blood donation camps.” 

Additional Director of CISF, Alok Kumar Pateriya appreciated the noble cause being done by team of AIIMS' doctors. 

Dr Vijay Kumar Gurjar, Convenor of blood donation camp said that young doctors should also volunteer in camps.
