Greater Noida: A man allegedly locked himself up in his flat in Greater Noida on being suspected to carry coronavirus (COVID-19). However, authorities have informed that he had been tested negative.

According to official inputs, the man, a Chinese national, is an Oppo employee. A huge crowd gathered at his residence at Greater Noida's Chi 4 sector to confirm about his status. 

Speaking to the media, Gautam Budh Nagar Chief Medical Officer Anurag Bhargava, said, “The man has been tested negative for coronavirus.” 

On Wednesday evening, a Paytm employee in Gurugram was tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the company said in a statement. 

With this case, the number of people infected with the virus stands at 29. 

Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday said that 16 Italians in India have been tested positive for coronavirus.
