New Delhi: Rain and thunderstorm lashed the National Capital on Thursday night bringing the mercury down on Friday. Minimum temperature recorded in the city was 17 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.
Change in weather have increased cases of cough, cold and flu. Doctors have advised people to take more care of their health as the threat of coronavirus too is growing day by day.
Dr. Atul Gogai, general physician at Sir Ganga Ram hospital, said, “Patients with normal cold and cough have increased in OPD. I would like to advise people not to go the hospital for the treatment of normal cold and cough as it may increase their chances of falling more sick. As OPD is highly crowded, there is a possibility that droplets of infected people may enter into their bodies.”
He advised people to comfortably sit at home to protect themselves from getting infected. He also said that people can use home remedies to cure cold and cough. “Taking ginger and Vitamin C in abundance will help the immune system to fight with flu like infection,” said Dr. Gogai.
Dr. Mohsin Wali, former general physician at Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, said, “People do not need to panic because of coronavirus. Week immune system can allow any virus to enter into one's body compared to those who have strong immune system.”
