Greater Noida: In less than six hours, the Noida police solved the murder case of a female resident of Arihant Arden, a highrise in the Bishrakh police station area, through scanning her social media activities. 

The body of 49-year-old woman was found by her son on Thursday evening. Soon the police swung into action and intercepted the woman's social life.

During the investigation, they found that the woman was quite active on social apps like and Tik Tok, and had a large following, the police soon started tracking her contacts on these apps. They zeroed on the profile of one Raghav Kumar with whom the deceased had shared many videos. The police started looking for him. They arrested him from Sector 80 in Noida and it is being said that he is a resident of Delhi.

During interrogation, Kumar said that he was in contact with the woman for the last two-and-a-half years and they were close. As per Kumar, he had free access to the woman’s house who had introduced him as a known at the gate of the society.

On Thursday morning, Kumar went to the woman’s house, (CCTV footage of which police have recovered) and demanded some money. The woman outrightly dismissed his demand and said that she wanted to end all contact with him. 

Following this, a heated argument took place and then the accused hit the woman. Thereafter, the woman died because of internal bleeding while the man locked the flat and went away.

The police have recovered the keys of the flat and the woman’s police phone from the accused.

As per police, the woman was murdered around 11 am while the body was found around 6 pm. The surveillance system of the society majorly helped the police to gather information about the visit of the accused to the woman’s flat.
