New Delhi: The Delhi Government clarified that a healthy man and a healthy woman does not need to wear mask and use sanitisers. The official statement came amid panic buying of face masks and sanitisers in the National Capital in the wake of coronavirus threat.

Taking advantage of the situation, retailers and whole sellers started selling the masks and sanitises at inflated rates. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal assured action on the unscrupulous vendors. 

He said, “We should not be scared of COVID-19. A number of people are rushing to hospitals for coronavirus in panic. This could be harmful, sit comfortably at home unless any symptoms of the virus is noticed. The Government has prepared 25 more hospitals for sample collection for corona, of these, 19 are private hospitals.

Addressing a press conference, Kejriwal said so far, three confirmed cases of corona were found in Delhi. First confirmed case infected 115, second came in contact with 168 and third corona positive patient contacted 14 people. They all are quarantine and being screened. 

All buses and metros are put on disinfection process every day. Health Minister Satyendra Jain announced 14 days paid leave for the patients found with symptoms of coronavirus and are quarantined. 

The Government advised the citizens not to panic. Anyone returning from effected areas and having symptoms can go for test. 

Health Secretary Dr Nutan said, "N95 mask is needed only for doctors treating patients. Normal mask need to be changed after every six hours’ use. The best thing is to implement in daily practice of handwash.
