Noida: Hundreds of residents flocked at the venue of Holi celebration of Sector 34 here on Sunday. The gathering saw a large crowd dancing to the tune of Lord Krishna and welcoming each other with a Namastey (greeting by folded hands).

But the major attraction was the performance by the Radha-Sham Mandili from Vrindavan. The episodes of Ras-Leela were enacted by its members dressed in colourful traditional attires from the time of Ramyug.

The troupe performed a dance in an artificial water fountain assembled for the performance along with instinct on the stage.

The resident welfare association (RWA) took up the issue of coronavirus and asked the residents with slightest of health issues to avoid the gathering where some 900 people turned up on Sunday.

A special awareness session on coronavirus was also conducted by Dr Naman Sharma from Manas hospital.

Talking to CitySpidey, Dharmendra Sharma, secretary RWA 34, said, "We had placed a hand sanitiser at the entry gate, nobody was allowed to enter the premises without getting their hand sanitized.” 

He added, “We also asked people not to play Holi or bring any gulal (colour) as a precautionary measure against the much talked about the virus.

The residents were served with some mouth-watering pakoras and piping hot tea along with entertainment.
