Noida: Elections for Apartment Owners Association (AOA) of Elite HOMZ are scheduled to be held on April 19. Nominations can be submitted between March 15 and 30 while polling for nine seats will be connected on April 19.
Any candidate can withdraw from the contest on April 5.
As the incumbent body is approaching the end of its term, poll fever already returned to the residential society of Sector 77 here.
Elite Homz formed its AoA in 2017 and successfully took over the management of the society from the its builder thereafter. With 572 flats and an almost 100-strong staff, the current AoA has been looking after the society for the last two years.
Deepak Kumar, the president of the AoA, told CitySpidey that while elections were held in 2018 and 2019, the same body continued for the two years as no one contested.
All the flat owners have been urged to participate in the elections. The election committee, formed to look after the forthcoming AOA election, has issued a circular informing the flat owners about the process and requirements to contest the AOA election.
The election will be held for nine seats. Nominations can be submitted between March 15 and 30 while the election will be held on April 19. Any candidate can withdraw from the contest on April 5.
As per the rule, if the nominations are less than the quorum (9 seats), there will be no election and the nominees will be declared elected unopposed.
In needs a mention here that under the leadership of the incumbent AoA, the society was bagged Swacch Apartment Award of the Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations (NOFAA) last year.
