Noida: Holika Dahan was turned out to be a gala event at Maxbils Kingston. Both adults and children enjoyed the sight of flames leaping from a pyre.

The residents of the highrise of Sector 75, on Monday, organised the annual event on the Holi eve at an open space beside the society.

About 400 men, women and children came out to witness the Holika Dahan.

The venue of the event was behind Maxblis Kingston society and Maxblis White House society of Sector 75.

Women and children danced to the beat of dholk (drum) for nearly an hour during the burning of pyre.

Last year, the annual event was held at a very small space on the footpath of main road near a big roundabout. But this year, people were very happy that they had a spacious venue on the green belt.

A Holi team was formed to make all the arrangements for the festival. Around 300 members enrolled themselves to be part of Holi Milan. However, due to coronavirus, the milan (gathering) was cancelled. Hence, only Holika Dahan could be celebrated.

Meenakshi, Swati and Dushyant Kumar, took keen interest in organising the event successfully.

The Holi team thanked all those who participated in the event.
