Gurugram: The celebration of Holi- the festival of colours, was a low key affair this year amid the coronavirus scare.
While many social organisations and RWAs refrained from organising grand celebration of Holi Milan this time due to the rise in cases of COVID-19, some opted to play Holi with small gathering comprising of friends and families in the community.
This time threat of coronavirus cast a shadow on the Holi celebration as many people avoided mass gathering and played with caution.

Ashok Malik, a resident of DLF New Town Height Sector 90 said, "We had called off the grand celebration this time due to the fear of coronavirus, however many people gathered for Holika Dahan Puja and played Holi with colours the next day."
At Mapsko Casabella in Sector 82, residents chose to play with close-knit groups to celebrate the occasion. The residents tapped their feet on the peppy Bollywood songs while playing Holi.
"We enjoyed the festival with our friends and families and shared home-cooked delicacies with each other to savour the mood of festival," said Dharamveer Singh, RWA president of the society.
Similarly, residents of Sare Homes in Sector 92, played Holi with myriad of colours and smeared Gulal on each other's face. Children of the society made most of the celebration splashing colours with water guns on friends.
"The celebration was not that upbeat as we had to cancel the programme because of coronavirus. We celebrated the occasion with friends at home," said Praveen Malik, RWA president od Sare Homes.
Residents of BPTP Park Serene and NBCC Green View in Sector 37 D welcomed the arrival of spring with modest celebration sans any elaborate arrangement for the festival amid coronavirus. They enjoyed each other's company and captured the moment through selfies.
