New Delhi: Hindu Rao Hospital here converted its nursing home into an isolated ward to accommodate coronavirus patients and the newly-constructed boys hostel as a ward for suspected COVID-19 patients.

Following this, an inspection of the preparedness for prevention of coronavirus infection was carried out by the Chairman of Standing Committee (North Delhi Municipal Corporation) Jai Prakash.

Prakash was also informed by the officials that a nodal officer has been appointed at the hospital to report on coronavirus patients and a core team has been formed which will review the situation.

Posters about prevention of the disease were also stuck in the corridors of the hospital to create awareness among the visitors about the deadly virus.

The chairman also directed officials to take all safety measures for the doctors, nurses and other staff members.

He said that their first task was to provide primary health service to the citizens and in order to deal with the global health disaster like coronavirus, it is necessary for us that our doctors, nurses and other staff to take all safety measures first.
