New Delhi: As the threat of coronavirus is increasing by the day, the government of India has imposed restrictions on people arriving in India from the affected countries. 

The government has issued a travel advisory against people coming from countries like Italy, South Korea, Iran, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain, Germany and France.

“With respect to restrictions on visa, all regular visas which have been granted to nationals of France, Germany and Spain on or before March 11 and where these foreigners have not entered India stand suspended,” said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in a statement. 

“Regular visas granted to all foreign nationals who have a travel history of the aforementioned countries on or before February 1 and who have not entered India stands suspended,” the Ministry added. 

Meanwhile, 10 more people have been tested positive for the virus taking the total number of cases in India to 60, of which 36 are Indians.
