MCG demolishes illegal structures near Gwal Pahari

Gurugram: The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) on Thursday demolished illegal structures and cleared four acres of corporation land near the Gwal Pahari area as a part its anti encroachment drive.

The drive was led by duty magistrate and assistant engineer Rajiv Yadav and was accompanied by a team of Junior Engineer Naeem Hussain.

The four acres of MCG land was occupied illegally. The team carried out the drive and razed boundary walls, 20-25 rooms among other illegal structures on the piece of land.

About 150 police personnel were present to deal the locals who resisted the move of the MCG. 

Earlier, the MCG commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh formed separate Enforcement Teams for the four zones and directed them to take action against illegal occupants, unauthorised constructions and encroachments in their respective zones.
