Gurugram: Following the complaint at CM window by the residents of Mapsko Casa Bella, a residential society in Sector 82, Gurugram, the department of town and country planning on Wednesday called on a meeting with builder and the residents to resolve the matter.

Earlier, the residents had filed a complaint at the CM Window requesting for the cancellation of completion certificate which was issued to the project and initiating a structural audit of the society.

During the meeting, the residents pointed out several technical and structural discrepancies including lack of fire safety system, lifts malfunctioning, water seepage, lack of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and rain water harvesting system among others.

Dharamveer Singh, RWA President of the society said, “There are several structural and technical discrepancies in the society which are yet to resolved by builder. We have been taking up this matter for long time but nothing much has been done. There are severe structural flaws and the society is not fully equipped to handle if any disaster takes place making us vulnerable.”

At the meeting, the department directed the builder to resolve all the issues at the earliest. The department also assured the residents that they will write to concerned department of fire, Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), electrical inspectorate to check all safety measure and ensure all the requisite norms are fulfilled by the builder.

“We are now hoping some concrete action would be taken by the department and as this is matter of grave concern for all of us. There are frequent incident of malfunctioning of lifts, seepage. Moreover, the final coating of paint was not completed by the builder. In the last fire mock drill, alarm system, smoke detector, hose reel found in non working condition. Even the manpower was not trained on how to deal in the crisis situation,” said Herman Oberoi, Joint Secretary of the society.
