Hindon-Pushta road height barrier: Residents and FedAOA meet GDA

Residents of Ahinsa Khand II, led by president of FedAOA Alok Kumar, met Dayanand Prasad, the officer on special duty (OSD), Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), on Wednesday to discuss the removal of a recently installed height barrier on Hindon-Pushta road.

The height barrier was installed in June to stop trucks and dumpers from plying through residential areas in Indirapuram. Residents alleged that the fixed iron barrier was removed by the employees of a stone crusher located nearby.

In the meeting, the OSD assured residents that the barrier would be reinstalled and that he had spoken to Atul Yadav, circle officer (CO) of Indirapuram police, about providing police support on the issue.

Speaking to City Spidey, Kumar said, “It is a waste of manpower and taxpayers' money. The problem hasn't been solved yet.”

When City Spidey took up the matter with Yadav, he said that the police was always ready to support the GDA. Speaking about any further damage to the height barrier, he said, “The police will not tolerate this gundaraj. If anybody has any grievance against the actions of the GDA, they should complain to the authorities and get it sorted via them."
