Sector 7x: Five-hour power-cut at Assotech Windsor Court

Noida: Residents of Assotech Windsor Court, a housing society in Sector 78, had no power supply for nearly five hours till Sunday afternoon.

As per a source, the electricity was cut off on Sunday and Saturday was the result of dislocating of a pole between Windsor Court and Antriksh Golf View-2 a few days ago. But no formal information regarding the same was given.

While the residents were dependent on the DG sets for the five hours on Sunday, there was no power supply for two hours on Saturday as well. On Saturday, the supply went during the day when most of the residents were not home but on Sunday the power snap was in the morning, disrupting the regular lives of the residents and causing unnecessary inconvenience.

Talking to CitySpidey, the resident who didn’t wish to be named said, “I spoke to the lineman today morning after there was no supply for nearly five hours, but he too couldn’t sense what was wrong”.

While Windsor Court is still in its construction phase, some 200-plus families live in the premises. Power cuts are not very frequent, the residents told this reporter citing temporary electricity connection in the society which are very stable without much fluctuations.
