A doctor, who returned from Saudi Arabia, and a woman who came from France are kept in isolation.

Greater Noida: Two suspected cases of COVID-19 have been admitted to the isolation wards in Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Kasna here on Sunday as a precaution.

According to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Anurag Bhargava, the man, who is a doctor, and a woman have symptoms of coronavirus and have been kept in the isolation ward of the hospital as a precautionary measure.

Talking to CitySpidey, Bhargava said that the man had returned from Saudi Arabia and might have come in contact with a coronavirus patient as he is a doctor while the woman had just returned from France. Both are in GIMS and their samples have been sent to Pune.”

As per GIMS administration, some 174 people have been tested so far. Out of which, 126 people have been tested negative while the result of others is awaited.

On Sunday, some four people were tested, three of them are negative, Bhargava told this reporter.

The office of the CMO was functional on Sunday as well and has been in constant contact with people who are under self-isolation. The district administration and the CMO has requested people not to panic and take care of hygiene.
