Ghaziabad: A 25-year-old woman was found dead after allegedly jumping from 6th floor of Gardenia Square, a highrise society in Crossings Republik, on Sunday night, police told.
The lady was immediately rushed by residents and security staff to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The police said that they were informed by security guards of the society around 12 am about the incident.
The police have identified the woman as Zoya Rehman. The police informed that Zoya was working in a private company in Noida. She was living in the society as a paying guest (PG). The PG accommodation service is at the 6th floor of the society.
The police told CitySpidey that Zoya's family is in West Bengal and is enroute Ghaziabad.
As per police, the primary investigation prompts to be a case of suicide. However, the police is exploring all possible angels and interrogating the PG owner and other inmates who shared room with Zoya.
The body of the deceased was sent for the postmortem and the report is awaited, the police added.
