Gurugram: Officials of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) on Monday visited malls, shopping complexes, hotels, restaurants among other commercial establishments to ensure availability of sanitisers for the people visiting them and disinfectants sprayed in the premises.
The MCG came into action after the MCG Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh directed its officials to ensure that such places have sanitisers and disinfectants for the visitors.
The inspection covered Ninex Mall, Radiation Hotel, Hotel Chaupal at Old Delhi Road, Bikaner Sweets at Sector-12 Market and Dana-Chuga Restaurant at Atul Kataria Chowk. During the inspection, the officials instructed the management of the establishments to take special care of hygiene.
In its order, the MCG chief stated, "The malls, shopping complexes, shopping plaza in Gurugram city should carry out cleaning and disinfection of all public areas and make a provision to provide sanitisers to all employees and visitors till March 31."
"Shops shall be disinfected daily and shall also make provision for the availability of an ample number of hand sanitisers at appropriate places particularly at the entrance and eating point for the visitors. Cleaning of hands with hand sanitiser must be ensured before entering," the order read.
Additionally, the health wing of the MCG is spraying isopropyl and rubbing alcohol solution to disinfect government offices including MCG offices in Sector-34, Sector-39, Sector-42 and Civil Lines, district deputy commissioner office, HUDA estate officer-1 & 2 office, the office of the public health department, mini secretariat, the district court, Town and Country Planning office which witnesses huge public dealing on daily basis.
