Gurugram: In a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the district administration of Gururgam issued an advisory on Tuesday to all the MNCs, IT firms, industries, BPOs, corporate offices in the city to allow their employees to work from home till March 31.

The order issued by the district magistrate stated, “In compliance of the Haryana Epidemic Disease, Covid-19 Regulations, 2020…, all MNC, IT Firms, industries, BPOs, Corporate offices situated in the district Gurugram are advised to allow their officer/employees to work from their home till March 31 with immediate effect to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 in larger public interest.”

This came after the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar appealed the MNCs operating in the city to allow their employees to work from home on Monday.

While interacting with the media persons in Gurugram on Monday, Khattar said that the people don’t need to panic about the coronavirus as the government has made extensive arrangements and steps are being taken in a planned manner to deal with every situation. 

He said, “I appeal to multinational company based in Gurugram and other cities of Haryana to get their company officers and employees, especially IT company personnel, to allow them to work at home and keep low presence of employees in the company to prevent coronavirus.”
