Noida: Sec 41 resident confirmed positive for coronavirus

Noida: A resident of Sector 41, Noida, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. He was admitted to the isolation ward of Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Kasna on Tuesday night. This is the fourth positive case of coronavirus in Gautam Budh Nagar.

The man had come back from Indonesia along with his wife on March 3 and was tested positive on Wednesday. 

As per the health department, the man and his wife went to Indonesia on a vacation. The man contacted an official. He started showing symptoms after a few days and his sample was taken. The reports showed coronavirus infection on Wednesday. The reports of the wife are yet to come. 

The department will now start tracing people who came in contact with the couple in the last 15 days including the domestic help.

The man resided in a rented accommodation in Sector 41, with his wife. His landlord lives in the same building on the ground floor. 

As per source, the sanitisation team is already at the spot and will soon be starting their process. 

Including this case, India now has 149 cases of coronavirus. 200 people have been tested in Gautam Budh Nagar so far.
