New Delhi: With the threat of coronavirus growing by the day, several societies in Dwarka have taken precautionary measures to protect themselves against the infection declared a pandemic by the World Health Organizatiion (WHO).

Masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and soaps have been placed outside the society gates so that people can clean their hands before entering the societies.

Apart from this, the security outside the gates has also been increased. Guards have been provided with infrared thermometers, masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and soaps. Hand sanitizers have been placed outside the lifts too so that people can sanitise their hands before using them.

Residents of Satyam Apartments, Sector 4 Dwarka, have installed a washbasin outside the society gate. They have also made arrangement for water and soap so that drivers, delivery person, housekeeping staff can wash their hands before entering the society. Entire staff has been given masks and sanitisers.

Guards have been asked to maintain a distance while interacting with people. They have also been asked to either maintain a distance or avoid talking to strangers.

Residents of Park Royal Apartments, Dwarka, have also taken similar measures. Those found not abiding the rules will not be allowed to enter the society.

Media Society in Sector 7 too has made arrangement for washing hands near the society's gate. Hand sanitisers have been placed near the lifts so that its button remain safe. Many residents of the society have been asked to press the buttons of lifts with a pen.

Sanjay Jha, President of Media society, said, “We have placed hand sanitisers near the gate and have made it mandatory for everyone to sanitise their hands before entering the society.”
