MCG discontinues public dealing work till March 31 due to coronavirus

Gurugram: To prevent the spread of deadly coronavirus infection, the Muncipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has decided to discontinue all public dealing in the civic body offices till March 31 as a precautionary measure.

On Wednesday, the MCG issued an order which stated that no public dealing will be held till March 31 in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. People can contact the corporation through email for any work, complaint or suggestion.

One can reach out at the MCG commissioner at cmc@mcg.gov.in, additional commissioner-1 at adcmc@mcg.gov.in, additional commissioner-2 at adcmc2@mcg.gov.in, additional commissioner-3 at adcmc3@mcg.gov.in, joint commissioner-4 at jc4@mcg.gov.in, chief engineer-1 at ce@mcg.gov.in, chief engineer-2 at ce2@mcg.gov.in among other officials through e-mails to file their complain or suggestions.

Notices have been put up and security personnels have been deployed to inform the public about the same.

Everyday hundreds of people visit the MCG offices with various complaints pertaining to road, water, sewer, street light, tax or to pay fee for services at the citizen service centre. Many people who went to the civic body office to resolve their grievances were not allowed and the guards turned them down informing about the order.

On Tuesday, the district administration issued an order to discontinue all public dealing in Antyodaya Saral Kendra in Mini Secretariat till March 31 in order to avoid the coronavirus spread. The administration has instructed that only necessary work will be carried out at the Saral Kendra and at all the tehsils. All the regular work is closed till 31 March so that people do not gather in large numbers.
