New Delhi: The Ministry of Human Resources and Development on Wednesday ordered rescheduling of all on-going examinations including CBSE, NIOS and universities examinations after March 31 amid the rise in coronavirus cases. 

The HRD ministry has also asked to reschedule all the evaluation work after March 31. This evaluation includes checking answer sheets of CBSE, NIOS and universities. The evaluation may start again from April 1 unless otherwise informed by the board. 

Confirming the same, the Anurag Tripathi, Secretary CBSE in a release said that there will be no examination from March 19 to 31 (both dates inclusive), and all examinations will be scheduled after March 31 after reassessment of the situation. 

The reexamination that were rescheduled to be held in North-east Delhi because of the riots will be rescheduled further. The board will release fresh dates on March 31 as per the situation.

The JEE-MAIN examination will also be rescheduled and fresh dates will be announced on March 31 after reassessment of the situation. 

The ministry has instructed schools and colleges to keep communication with students and parents via electronic means. They have requested that no students, parents or teachers should panic as MHRD is committed to ensure safety and security of the students as well as maintenance of their academic calendar. All possible steps will be taken in this direction.

ICSE and ISC year 2020 examinations were postponed. It was scheduled to end on March 31. The revised dates will be informed further.
