Noida: Aiming to check the further spread of novel coronavirus, the Apartment Owners Association (AOA) of Hyde Park, a highrise in Sector 78, Noida, on Wednesday intensified the precautionary measures. The entire common areas in the society are being sanitised thrice a day, an office bearer informed.
On condition of anonymity, he told that 22-floor high residential towers in the society are being sprinkled frequently for keeping the entire common areas disinfected. Cleaning of surface with anti bacteria chemicals is also being done.
He said, “Since morning, common areas were sprinkled with sodium hypochlorite twice and it would be carried out for the third time in the late evening.”
A positive case of novel coronavirus was reported on Tuesday from the society, following which these precautionary measures are being taken in the society.
Residents told that they had locked two entry gates, out of total three in the society, for minimising entries of outsiders in the society. They also deployed an e-cart at entry gate for convenience of fellow residents and to avoid the entries of radio taxi and cabs in the society premises.
Another resident said, “As part of precautionary measure, an infra red temperature thermometer was made available at the entry gate for checking fever of all those entering into the society. They (residents) are also following the protocol strictly as none of them enter society without washing hands at entry gate.”
They told that they are receiving full cooperation from the district administration as the higher authority has already visited the society thrice in past two days.
They informed that they had distributed masks among all on-duty security guards earlier and made liquid shops available for them to wash hands frequently. But after the reporting of a positive case, they have started all precautionary measures to avoid the spread of coronavirus further.
