New Delhi: The Delhi government, on Thursday, ordered all schools, colleges and universities shut till March 31 as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the city.
In this context, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “I have directed all schools, colleges and universities in Delhi to be shut down completely both for students and staff till 31 March. All exams, including the board one, will happen only after 31 March.”
The chief minister also made an appeal to the people of Delhi to work from home as far as possible to avoid the spread of coronavirus in the city.
“I urge all Delhiites to work from home as far as possible,” he said.
As per official information, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal held a review meeting in this regard on Thursday evening.
