Ghaziabad: In wake of coronavirus outbreak, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has decided to close malls, gyms and public places of recreation in the city.
Sushil Kumar Chaubey, Officer on Special Duty at GDA, said that the authority has directed its officials to enforce this order across eight zones which come under its jurisdiction.
The officials have been asked to impose a penalty on those found violating the order.
"The officers will inspect their respective areas to check whether the order is being followed or not. If any mall, gym and public place of recreation is found open, they will be penalized on the spot," Chaubey said.
Besides, the district administration has already enforced section 144 of CrPc in the city from Tuesday which will be effective till May 12.
