Dwarka: Societies are gearing up to implement janata curfew which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fight coronavirus. The managements of various apartments have started issuing circulars to the residents about the restrictions that will be in place on Sunday.

Societies like Ganpati Apartments in Sector 9, DDA SFS society in Sector 5, Media society in Sector 7 and Dream Apartments in Sector 22 have started preparing to implement the janata curfew on the day.

Most of the societies have announced to close the gates between 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday. Apart from that, they have restricted the movement of outsiders including guests, maids, courier boys, drivers, contractors, vendors, property dealers etc. in the society.

Moreover, services such as housekeeping, plumbing, electrician, gardener and car washing have also been suspended on the day. The managements have already declared that they are not going to allow public gatherings within the societies.

TC Batra, Secretary of Dream Apartments informed, “We have circulated a message for janata curfew to all our residents. Also, the front and back gates would be closed from morning to minimise movement. Besides we have adopted all precautions like washing hands, spreading awareness messages, distributing masks to guards etc.”

General Secretary of DDA SFS in Sector 5, Mahesh Gupta said, “We don't want anything left unturned to stop this pandemic in Dwarka. We are preparing ourselves by following all measures suggested by health and civic agencies. We will support the janata curfew tomorrow.”
