Noida: A resident of Logix Blossom County, a high-rise in sector 137 here, has been tested positive for novel coronavirus on Tuesday.

Following this, District Magistrate BN Singh has ordered sealing the society for two days in order to carry out the sanitisation process. The society will be sealed from 2 pm on March 24 to 10 am on March 26.

The woman tested positive is in her forties and had no travel history. Though her husband was in touch with a colleague from the United Kingdom. He had returned to India some 14-days ago, where he had gone for some official work, and was under self-quarantine, as per the residents of the society.

The woman's husband and daughter have been taken for testing. This is the second case of secondary transmission in the district.

On Sunday, two people with travel history from Denmark were also detected positive for novel coronavirus in Noida's Nirala Grandeur following which the society has been isolated till March 25.

They are undergoing treatment in Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), while their family members have been isolated in their flats, said Gautam Buddha Nagar Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Anurag Bhargav.

Bhargav said, the two people were living in isolation since the time they arrived from Denmark.

Including the Logix Blossom County case,  Gautam Buddha Nagar now has nine positive cases of coronavirus in the district.
