28 March, Noida (Gautambudh Nagar) Novel Corona virus outbreak has forced everyone to stay inside their homes for safety.
The situation has resulted in a crisis essentially for the daily wagers. However, Gautambudh Nagar police administration has devised an innovative solution for the crisis. The police is on their foot and home delivering food, ration and needful items at the doorstep of the poor and needy everyday.

Gautambudh Nagar Police Commissioner Alok Singh said, “we have decided to deliver food and ration to the poor and needy. Our effort is to ensure that nobody sleeps hungry in the district. We have created a reserve of food items for this purpose. Voluntary organizations are also assisting us in this noble cause.”

He future informed that Deputy Police Commissioner Vrinda Shukla’s mobile number 8595902510 has been appointed as the nodal officer for this. He further insisted that Voluntary organizations that wish to help the police in this noble work can contact the officer.

Singh said that police vehicles have been deployed in delivering food and ration to the poor and needy. So far, over 12000 people have benefited from this service, he said. “As soon as we get information about food or medicine requirement, the PRVs carry the required items and deliver at the location. PRV service is working round the clock to help the poor and needy”, he added.

Apart from police is also ensuring availability of ration, milk, vegetables, medicines etc. He also made an appeal to non-governmental and voluntary organizations to come forward and cooperate in this noble work.
