Gurugram: With 126 new infections, coronavirus cases cross 5,000 mark

Gurugram: Gurugram on Saturday reported 126 new COVID-19 cases crossing the 5,000 mark. It has pushed the city tally of coronavirus cases to 5,070. Two fresh fatalities were also reported as per the daily health bulletin.

On Saturday, 202 patients have been discharged after recovery in Gurugram taking the total of cured patients to 3,469 so far.

Meanwhile, Haryana's total cases of COVID-19 reached 13,427 with 543 fresh cases. The death toll due to COVID-19 in the state has reached 218. A total of 8,472 patients have recovered in Haryana so far.

Gurugram and Faridabad are among the worst-hit NCR districts in the state with a total of 83 and 71 fatalities, respectively. Gurugram and Faridabad together make up 62 per cent of Haryana’s cases.

Faridabad reported 3,325 of the total cases, while 1,829 have been discharged after recovery.

Till date, the Gurugram district reported the highest active cases in Haryana, having a total of 1,518 cases while Faridabad has 1425 active cases taking the state tally to 4,737 active cases.
