New Delhi: There are some positive signs emerging out of Delhi in terms of the coronavirus pandemic. Despite ramping up the testing in the national capital, the positivity rate has significantly gone down since the start of the month. 

Also, the day wise cases figures are steadily declining in the last three days.The city reported 2,084 fresh cases on Monday. Delhi reported 3,460 fresh cases on Friday, 2,948 new cases on Saturday and 2,889 cases on Sunday. 

As far as the current standing is concerned, Delhi is the worst affected city in the country with total number of coronavirus cases crossing 85,000 mark. 

The state government has increased the testing in the national capital. 16,157 tests were conducted on Monday. The testing was increased after the arrival of antigen testing kits.

As per the data shared by the government, the average positivity rate has dipped from 31 per cent in the second week of June to 18 per cent in the last week.

As per the health department bulletin, the containment zones have risen to 435. 57 fatalities have been reported in the last 24 hours. The death count has now mounted to 2,680. 

The total number of cases has increased to 85,161. The number of active cases stands at 26,246, while 56,235 patients have migrated/recovered or have been discharged from the hospital.
