Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar has reported 116 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday pushing the district’s tally to 2,362.
With recovery of 3 patients during the 24-hour period, the total number of people who were discharged rose to 1,526 as per the UP's daily health bulletin. The Covid-19 fatalities stand at 22 in the district.
The number of active cases in the district rose to 929 who are being treated at various hospitals. At present, the district has the second highest active cases in the state.
Meanwhile, the district administration has initiated a 10-day surveillance campaign to ramp up coronavirus screening across Noida and Greater Noida where around 1,500 health teams are involved.
So far, Uttar Pradesh’s active cases figures reached 6,869, while 17,221 patients have been discharged. Covid-19 fatalities in the state now reached 735.
