New Delhi: In remembrance of frontline healthcare workers and thousands of people who lost their lives due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, a candlelight vigil was held at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi on Sunday night.

The candlelight vigil was organised by the Residents Doctors' Association to pray for eternal peace to the departed souls and expressed their solidarity with the bereaved families.

Earlier in the day, a group of doctors also conducted a cycle rally from AIIMS to Rajghat to pay their tribute to all frontline warriors who sacrificed their lives while fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

While talking to CitySpidey, Dr Pawan Sinhmar said, “In the memory of the lost warriors, all the resident doctors will wear white ribbons on Monday. We will also distribute chocolates among doctors to appreciate their hard work and relentless spirit in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.”
