Coronavirus death toll touches 100 mark in Gurugram

Gurugram: The death toll in the Gurugram district touched the 100 mark on Sunday with one more fatality due to coronavirus, said the official data.

The district has reported 120 fresh coronavirus cases while 332 patients have been discharged after recovery during the 24 hours period, the health bulletin said.  

The total Covid-19 positive cases have reached 5,949, while a total of 4,828 patients have been recovered so far in the district, as per the daily health bulletin.

The number of active cases in the district has declined to 1,021, of which 34 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals.138 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres whereas 35 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 814 patients are in home isolation.

The district fatality rate now stands at 1.7 per cent.

Meanwhile, 457 fresh cases have been reported on Sunday, taking the state Covid-19 tally to 17,005. So far, 265 deaths have been reported in the state, the health bulletin said.

A total of 687 patients recovered in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 12,944 with a recovery rate of 76.12 per cent. The case doubling rate now counted to 18 days.

As of now, the number of active cases is 3,796.
